    Plane Crash in Essex Kills 2

    EssexA YAK 52 light aircraft crashed in a field in Essex, England, killing both on board. The plane was flying from North Weald.

    According to the local police, the aircraft was witnessed to be in trouble before it hit a field near Cooksmill Green, west of Chelmsford, at about 2:55 pm on March 29.

    The plane was in flames when it crashed. Firefighters from Chelmsford, Colchester and Maldon rushed to the scene and put out the fire.

    Air Accident Investigation Branch is investigation the cause of accident. The families of both victims have been informed.

    Plane Crash in South Sudan Leaves 19 Dead

    A passenger plane crashed into a lake in South Sudan, on September 9th.

    The incident happened when the plane flying from Juba was attempting to land in Yirol.

    Nineteen people were killed in the crash. Four others suffered serious injuries and were shifted to a hospital.

    Microlight Aircraft Crashes into Trees in Australia; 2 Injured

    A microlight aircraft crashed into trees off Tresize Rd, Mowbray, Port Douglas, Queensland, Australia, on the morning of September 10th.

    A man and woman aboard the aircraft survived the crashed with non- life threatening injuries.

    The man and woman were taken to hospitals.

    Where: on Pangee Road, 85km south-west of Nyngan, New South Wales, Australia
    When: Noon Dec 29
    Who: Paul Corcoran
    Why: On making a pass over a field, the plane crashed. The pilot was killed.

    Paul Corocran was from Trangie, NSW, Australia. Nyngan the town near the accident site is a nearby town also in Western NSW. This accident was not in New Zealand

    Southwest Airlines: Smoke scented Vegas to San Jose Flight

    What: Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 en route from Las Vegas to San Jose
    Where: Mineta San Jose International Airport
    When: July 3, 2012, 10:30 am
    Who: 99 aboard, 3 crew
    Why: 25 miles east of the airport, the pilot declared emergency. There was no smoke visible but there was the smell of smoke.

    The plane taxied to the gate, where passengers disembarked.

    Twenty firefighters remained at the scene in case of escalation, as investigators went through the plane.

    I fly Southwest and I know enough about aircraft to say that the planes are wearing out.

    They are made to take off and land and not stop, but aging planes need extra maintenance. Most of these planes gotta go in for real hard look.

    Expressjet Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Hydraulic Problem

    ExpressJetExpressjet flight EV-5621 made an emergency landing in Newark, New Jersey, on June 12th.

    The plane was flying from Detroit, Michigan, when the crew reported a hydraulic problem and requested emergency assistance.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All 45 people aboard remained unharmed.
