United Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Hawaii
United Airlines flight UA-1175 made an emergency landing in Honolulu, Hawaii, on February 13th.The Boeing 777-200 plane was flying from San Francisco, California, when a piece of the cowling separated from the right-hand engine.
The plane continued for a safe landing. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Engine Catches Fire Midair; Flybe Plane Makes Safe Emergency Landing in Belfast
Flybe flight BE130 made an emergency landing at Belfast international airport, Northern Ireland, on the night of December 16.The flight, en-route from Glasgow to Belfast City Airport, was diverted after one of its engines caught fire midair.
The plane landed uneventfully and all 76 passengers and 4 crew members remained unharmed.
The airline said in a statement, “Flybe can confirm that flight BE130 from Glasgow to Belfast City diverted to Belfast International Airport due a small engine fire, which was extinguished before landing…At no time was the safety and wellbeing of passengers compromised…Flybe operates its fleet of aircraft in strict compliance with all manufacturers guidelines.”
The cause of engine fire is under investigation.

SATA Emergency Landing in Funchal

Why: On takeoff, the plane flew through a flock of birds, resulting in damage to both engines. There was vibration but no loss of power. Within a quarter of an hour, the pilot landed safely back at Funchal.Both engines ingested seagulls, resulting in damaged fan blades. Also, on impact with a gull, one of the cargo doors opened.

SkyWest Airlines Plane Continues for a Safe Landing in Colorado after Cracked Windshield

The Canadair CRJ-200, heading from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to Denver was descending toward the runway when the crew reported a small crack in the windshield.
SkyWest Airlines flight OO-5974/UA-5974 continued for a safe landing at Denver International Airport, Denver, Colorado, on March 21.
The plane landed safely.
All 54 people on board remained unhurt.
