Sun Express Plane Diverts to Germany due to Engine Problem
Sun Express flight XQ-13 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Cologne Bonn Airport, Germany, on June 30th.The Boeing 737-800 flying from Dusseldorf, Germany, to Antalya, Turkey, had to divert due to an engine problem.
The plane landed safely.
All 167 passengers aboard remained safe.
US Airways Express Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Cracked Windshield
A US Airways express flight made an emergency landing at Burlington International Airport, Vermont, on March 26.The plane was heading from Philadelphia to Montreal when the pilot reported a windshield crack and requested an emergency landing. According to Burlington airport operations foreman Doug Wood, “The crack was reportedly getting larger and working its way down the windshield, so the pilots elected to get the plane on the ground as soon as possible and have it inspected before they did lose the windshield.”
The plane landed uneventfully and all 50 passengers aboard remained safe.
The airline said passengers will be transported to Montreal via bus.
PSA Airlines Jet Diverts to Dayton due to Hydraulic Failure
PSA Airlines flight AA-5394 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Dayton, Ohio, on January 15.The Canadair CRJ-700 aircraft was en-route from Des Moines, Iowa, to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Virginia, when the crew decided to divert due to hydraulic failure.
The plane, being operated on behalf of American Airlines, landed uneventfully. There were 69 passengers aboard at the time; all of the remained unharmed.
The airline arranged a replacement aircraft for the passengers.
Saratov Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Russia
Saratov Airlines flight 6W-5837 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Saratov, Russia, on September 10th.The plane heading from Kirov, Russia, to Simferopol, Ukraine, was diverted due to an engine indication problem.
The plane landed safely. All seventy-two people aboard remained unharmed.
