Martinair flight MP-8142 made an emergency landing in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on April 7th.
The Boeing 747-400 plane was flying from Nairobi, Kenya, when the crew reported issues with one of the engines.
The plane continued for a safe landing. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

Why: While en route from Amsterdam, smoke was detected in the cabin, apparently originating from a galley fire. The flight, which made a safe landing in Germany is believed to be the same plane which diverted to Amsterdam today after passengers were suffering from fumes from De-icing fluid. The jet was ferried back to Amsterdam.
Cathay Pacific flight CX-234 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Istanbul Atatürk Airport in Turkey, on March 1st.
The plane, en-route from Milan–Malpensa Airport, Italy, to Hong Kong, China, was diverted after the crew decided to shut down an engine due to loss of engine oil.
The Boeing 777-300 plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.
Icelandair flight FI-352 rejected taking-off at Keflavík International Airport, Iceland, on July 6th.
The Boeing 757-200 en-route to Helsinki, Finland, was about to take-off because of some fault with its anti-ice system.
The plane returned safely to the apron.

TAROM Airlines flight RO-637 had to return and make an emergency landing in Otopeni, Romania, on October 13th.
The plane took off for Satu Mare, Romania, but had to return shortly afterwards after its gear failed to fully retract.
The plane landed safely. All 33 people aboard remained unharmed.
Air France flight AF-457 made an emergency landing in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on December 10th.
The Boeing 777-300 plane took off for Charles de Gaulle Airport, France, but had to turn back due to issues with the speed indicators, autopilot and auto thrust.
The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
El Al flight LY 354 had to divert for an emergency landing in Zagreb, Croatia, on August 27th.
The plane heading from Munich, Germany, to Tel Aviv, Israel, was diverted after a burning smell was noticed on-board.
