Lufthansa flight LH-430 had to reject takeoff from Frankfurt, Germany, on October 22nd.
The Boeing 747-800 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Chicago, Illinois, when the crew rejected takeoff due to a lavatory smoke indication.
The plane vacated the runway and stopped on the taxiway.
Everyone aboard remained unharmed.
United Airlines flight UA-1219 had to divert and make an emergency landing in San Francisco, California, on January 14th.
The Boeing 757-200 plane heading from Denver, Colorado, to Lihue, Hawaii, was diverted after all toilets became full.
The plane landed safely.

What: United Airlines Boeing 777-200 en route from San Francisco to Beijing

Why: After takeoff, the Boeing’s Traffic and Collision Avoidance System issued a traffic advisory, recognizing an Aeronca too close. From a lower altitude, the Boeing crew only saw a portion of Aeronca that was passing between 200-300 feet away. TCAS warned them to drop their altitude to increase separation. The Aeronca was directed to take a “hard left”
American Airlines flight AA-106 made an emergency landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, on January 7th.
The Boeing 737-800 plane flying from Phoenix, Arizona, was on approach to JFK Airport when the crew declared an emergency due to an issue with the flaps.
The plane landed safely. All one hundred and sixty-six people aboard remained unharmed.

What: American Airlines Boeing 757-200 en route from London to Boston
Where: Dublin
When: Aug 3rd 2012
Who: 172 aboard
Why: The American Airlines flight diverted to Dublin when the plane developed hydraulic problems.
The pilots managed to land safely but without hydraulics had to be towed. Passengers were provided local accommodations.
The incident tied up the airport as planes were diveted until the affected 757 was removed and examined.

What: Ryanair Boeing 737-800 en route from Gothenburg Sweden to London
Where: Gothenburg
When: May 8th 2012
Who: one injury
Why: A flight attended closing the door fell out of the plane.
Presumably wind may have been a factor in the door issue.
The injured attendant was taken to the hospital. A number of passengers deplaned, presumably to keep the Ryanair crew/passenger ratio at least one flight attendant for every 50 passengers.
SunExpress flight XQ-171 had to return and make an emergency landing in Hamburg, Germany, on December 23rd.
The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for Antalya, Turkey, but had to turn back due to a tail strike indication.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
