    Naval Helicopter Returns to Newquay Airport due to Engine Issue

    A British International Helicopter (BIH) Dauphin helicopter had to return and make an emergency landing at Newquay Cornwall Airport, United Kingdom, on December 15.

    Authorities said the Eurocopter AS 365N2 Dauphin, based in HMS Drake, Devonport, had to declare an emergency after it developed an engine issue.

    According to an airport spokesperson, “We can confirm that an AS65 helicopter with two persons on board made a precautionary return to Cornwall Airport Newquay at approximately 0930 this morning having experienced an issue with one of its engines. The aircraft landed without problem.”

    EasyJet Flight Returns to Berlin Tegel Airport due to Landing Gear Issue

    EasyJet flight U2-5831 had to return and make an emergency landing at Berlin Tegel Airport, Germany, on September 25th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Tel Aviv, Israel, but had to turn back after the crew failed to retract the landing gear.

    The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed

    Delta Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Narita International Airport

    Delta Airlines flight DL-588 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Narita International Airport, Japan, on December 14th.

    The Boeing 767-300 plane heading from Shanghai, China, to Seattle, Washington, was diverted after the crew suspected a fuel leak.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All two hundred and twenty people aboard remained safe.

    Loganair Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Scotland

    Loganair flight BE-6939 made an emergency landing at Sumburgh Airport in Shetland, Scotland, on March 9th.

    The plane was flying from Kirkwall, Scotland, when the first officer became unwell, prompting the crew to declare an emergency.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. The first officer was rushed to hospital.

    The Airbus A321-200 flying to Antalya, Turkey, had to return due to a bird strike.
