    Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Maryland

    A 1965 Mooney aircraft made an emergency landing at Tipton Airport, Maryland, on November 22.

    The plane took off from Tipton Airport but had to return shortly afterwards after it lost power due to a mechanical fault. The pilot Paul Antoinette, 48, of Baltimore, was heading to Florida at the time.

    The plane landed uneventfully in a grassy area near the runway. The pilot remained uninjured.

    American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at JFK Airport

    American Airlines flight AA-2229 had to divert and make an emergency landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, on May 10th.

    The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from LaGuardia Airport, New York, to Orlando, Florida, was diverted due to an engine failure.

    The plane landed safely. All one hundred and fifty-six passengers and six crew members remained unharmed.

    Rossiya Flight Returns to Ulyanovsk due to Landing Gear Problem

    Rossiya flight RSD-82 had to return and make an emergency landing in Ulyanovsk, Russia, on January 11th.

    The plane took off for Moscow, Russia, but had to turn back after the crew failed to retract the landing gear.

    The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    WestJet Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Calgary

    WestJet flight WS-113 made an emergency landing in Calgary, Canada, on June 14th.

    The Boeing 737-700 plane took off for Vancouver, Canada, but had to turn back due to an aft cargo smoke indication.

    The plane landed back safely. All fifty-six passengers and five crew members remained unharmed.
