Air France Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Russia

Air France flight AF-116 made an emergency landing in Irkutsk, Russia, on November 11th.

The plane heading from Paris, France, to Shanghai, China, was diverted after the crew reported smoke on-board.

The plane landed safely. All two hundred and eighty-two passengers and sixteen crew members remained unharmed.

China Eastern Airlines Flight Diverts to Alaska due to Medical Emergency

China Eastern Airlines flight MU587 made an emergency landing at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in Anchorage, Alaska, on March 23rd.

The plane heading from Shanghai, China, to New York, was diverted after an elderly passenger suffered a medical emergency.

The plane dumped 30 tons of fuel before landing safely in Anchorage.

The patient was taken to a hospital.

China Eastern Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Shanghai

China Eastern Airlines flight MU-721 had to return and make an emergency landing in Shanghai, China, on April 15th.

The Airbus A330-300 plane took off for Hong Kong, China, but had to return shortly afterwards after a burning odor and haze was noticed in the cabin.

The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Shanghai Airlines Flight Returns to Taiwan due to Engine Problem

Shanghai Airlines flight FM-852 had to return for an emergency landing in Taipei, Taiwan, on February 24th.

The Airbus A330-300 plane took off for Shanghai, China, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew noticed a problem with one of the engines and decided to shut it down.

The plane landed uneventfully. All 299 people aboard remained safe.
