    Interjet Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Electrical Problems

    Interjet flight 4O-2932 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mexico, on August 13th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane heading from Mexico City, Mexico, to Bogota, Colombia, was diverted due to electrical problems.

    The plane landed safely. All one hundred and five people aboard remained unharmed.

    Kansas Learjet Plant Gets Cash Infusion


    Bombardier’s Learjet 85 business jet program is getting an infusion of $6 million in Wichita now that the Kansas Department of Commerce has permitted the use of a 1994 bond money incentive.

    The exact figure ($52.7 million) is expected to translate into 450 jobs. This is in addition to $2 million in bonds to expand the Learjet85 plant.

    The expansion plan includes building a new production flight facility. Phase three, the paint facility and delivery centre will completed in 2013.

    US Military Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in Japan

    A US military helicopter made an emergency landing at Kumamoto Airport, Japan, on April 20th.

    Authorities said the crew decided to make an emergency landing after the UH-1 helicopter developed an issue with the engine cooling system.

    The aircraft landed safely. No injuries were reported.

    The helicopter belongs to the US Marine Corps Futenma air station.

    British Airways Flight Makes Emergency Landing at London City Airport

    British Airways flight BA-4454 had to make an emergency landing at London City Airport, England, on February 17th.

    The plane flying from Rotterdam, Netherlands, was descending toward London City Airport when the crew reported smell of smoke on-board and declared an emergency.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Singapore Airlines Plane makes Emergency Landing in Singapore

    Singapore airlinesSingapore Airlines flight SQ-323 made a safe emergency landing at Singapore Changi Airport, Singapore, On June 18.

    The Airbus A350-900, en-route from Amsterdam, Netherlands, was about to land when the crew requested authorities to keep a tow ready advising they would not be able to vacate the runway in time.

    The plane landed safely.

    No one was injured.

    Why: The plane was en route when the pilot smelled smoke from burning plastic in the cabin, and announced to passengers they would be diverting to Green Bay with rescue services from De Pere, Allouez, Ashwaubenon, Hobart and Howard on standby.

    They made a safe landing in Green Bay at Austin Straubel International Airport at 2:25 pm
