Delta Air Lines flight 1559 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Hilo, Hawaii, on February 12.
The airline confirmed that the Boeing 757 aircraft, heading from Los Angeles to Honolulu, had to be diverted after it experienced a mechanical problem in one of the two engines.
The plane, carrying 234 people, landed safely and no injuries were reported.
Another aircraft was arranged which took the passengers to their destination.
