A Delta Airlines plane suffered a tail strike while landing in Atlanta, Georgia, on May 23rd.
The incident happened when the flight DL-1546 was coming from Phoenix, Arizona.
The plane safely taxied to the apron. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

Delta Air Lines Flight 901 Makes Emergency Landing Due to Squabbling Couple
Flight 901 of Delta Air Lines, flying from Atlanta to Costa Rica, had to make an emergency landing on Grand Cayman Islands, due to a couple squabbling on their wedding anniversary.
According to Raymond Christian, Chief Inspector Royal Cayman Islands police, the groom was arrested on charges of drinking and inappropriate conduct, while the bride was allowed to continue the flight.
The police have not revealed the details about bride’s identity but they confirm that the groom, identified as Michael Foret, 33, is a U.S. national.
Foret was later presented in front of a Cayman Islands Judge, who fined him $600 for forcing the plane to make emergency landing.
Piper Crashes in Cornfield near York Airport

Who: 1 fatality
Why: The piper crashed in a cornfield off of Lincoln Highway, a mile from the airport. The pilot, Douglas Helms of Westminster Maryland was pronounced dead at the scene. Helms will be at Lehigh Valley Hospital. The cause of the crash is unknown. An investigation is underway. The vehicle is registered to CONDOR FLYING CLUB INC

Where: on Interstate 87, close to the town of North Hudson, near Lake Placid.
When: Wednesday evening

Why: While a student was flying, the engine started clicking; then there was an explosion and a power loss. The instructor landed on the highway’s center lane with minima. clearance of surrounding guardrails. Why: After taking off from Las Vegas, “yellow” hydraulics aboard the jet blue flight failed, leading the pilot to declare an emergency and return to the airport due to “mechanical indications.”Passengers were getting airsick due to the plane’s rocking locomotion, and described the flight as nightmarish.
On landing, the plane was towed, as the steering was reported as inoperable.
