China Southern Airlines flight CZ-6406 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Changsha, China, on November 13th.
The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Nanjing to Guilin, China, was diverted due to a cargo smoke indication.
The plane landed uneventfully. All one hundred and fifty-one passengers remained unharmed.

Why: On approach to Cuzco, flight instrumentation detected an unsafe gear. After flying in a holding pattern, ultimately, the Airbus landed safely.

The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Alicante, Spain, to Bremen, Germany, was diverted due to a flaps problem.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Tigerair flight TR-2905 had to return and make an emergency landing in Macau, on November 8th.
The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Singapore but had to return shortly afterwards after the left engine started emitting sparks and causing cabin pressure issues.
The crew shut down the engine and turned back to Macau where the plane landed safely.
All 172 people aboard remained safe.

Why: While on a landing approach, the plane encountered severe turbulence which forced a go-around. The 2nd attempted landing was made safely.

Korean Airlines flight KE-2707 had to make an emergency landing at Kansai Airport, Osaka, Japan, on December 31.
The Boeing 777-300, en-route from Seoul, South Korea, to Tokyo, Japan, had to be landed in emergency due to engine failure.
The plane landed safely.
All 338 people on board remained safe.
