    China Southern Airlines flight CZ-6763 made an emergency landing in Shenzhen, China, on January 9th.

    The plane took off for Luoyang, China, but had to turn back due to an issue with the communication system.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    United Airlines Flight Diverts to Des Moines International Airport

    United airlinesUnited Airlines flight 112 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Des Moines International Airport in Iowa, on April 26.

    The flight, en-route from Chicago to Denver, had to be diverted after the pilots reported strange odor in the cockpit.

    The Boeing 737 landed uneventfully. None of the 187 people aboard was harmed.

    The cause of odor is under investigation.

    Southwest Airlines Plane Suffers In-Flight Engine Failure; 1 Killed

    On April 17th, a Southwest Airlines plane suffered an in-flight engine failure and got hit by debris from the damaged engine, shattering a passenger window and killing one passenger.

    The incident happened when the flight WN-1380 was heading from LaGuardia Airport, New York, to Dallas, Texas.

    The crew subsequently initiated an emergency descent and diverted to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

    Passengers reported that the deceased passenger, identified as Jennifer Riordan, 43, was partially sucked out of the aircraft through the shattered window. She was pulled back in by fellow passengers.

    Glider Plane Makes Emergency Landing outside Waynesville

    GliderA glider plane made an emergency landing in a field along Township Line Road and Harlan Road, just outside Waynesville, Ohio at around 5 p.m. on June 17.

    The glider pilot Kevin Anderson explained that he had to land the plane due to strong wind, however it was a “nice easy landing”.

    Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed that the incident did not cause any injuries or damage to the plane.
