Eurowings flight EW-5805 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Prague, Czech Republic, on April 20th.
The Airbus A320-200 plane heading from Hanover, Germany, to Vienna, Austria, was diverted due to a cargo smoke indication.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

What: AeroSur Boeing 727-200 en route from Santa Cruz to Miami,FL
Where: Cochabamba Bolivia
When: Feb 16th 2010
Who: 87 passengers
Why: While en route, the plane developed electrical problems and had to put down in Cochabamba. After overnighting in hotels, passengers will be flown back to Santa Cruz, and then on to Miami. No details have been released about the plane, as far as we know.
AirAsia flight AK 537D had to return and make an emergency landing at Phnom Penh International Airport, Cambodia, on December 27.
The Airbus 320 plane took off for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, but had to return shortly afterwards due to a bird strike.
The plane landed uneventfully. No injuries were reported.
Thai Airways flight TG-671 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Osaka International Airport, Japan, on January 12.
The Boeing 777-300, flying from Sapporo, Japan, to Bangkok, Thailand, had to divert due to some electrical issues.
The plane landed safely.
All 133 passengers and 19 crew members remained safe.
Kuwait Airways Flight 118 had to divert and make an emergency landing at London Heathrow Airport in United Kingdom, on June 27.
The plane, heading from New York to Kuwait, had to be diverted after a passenger fell sick on-board.
According to an airport spokesperson, “KU118 from JFK to Kuwait was diverted to Heathrow after a passenger was taken ill on-board… The passenger was looked after London Ambulance Service and the flight is resuming its journey shortly.”

Why: On approach to Santa Ana, the plane developed a hydraulics problem. The pilot cancelled the Santa Ana landing and diverted to Las Angeles, where the plane landed safely a quarter of an hour later.
