    Small Plane Crashed on Lake Gaston, North Carolina

    A small plane crashed on Lake Gaston, North Carolina, on April 24th.

    The 2005 Maule 235 single engine-plane was attempting to land when the pilot lost control and it flipped three times.

    There were three people aboard, including the pilot Paul Heaton, of Roanoke Rapids, and two passengers; none of them were hurt.

    The incident is being investigated.

    Southwest Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Mechanical Issue

    Southwest Airlines flight 2095 made an emergency landing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 29th.

    The plane heading from Chicago, Illinois, to Dallas, Texas, was diverted due to a mechanical issue.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Turkish Airlines Jet Makes Emergency Landing due to Bomb Threat

    Turkish airlinesA Turkish Airlines Jet made an emergency landing at Istanbul Atatürk Airport in Istanbul, Turkey, on August 13th.

    Emergency was declared after authorities received a phone call that claimed there was a bomb in the plane. The flight was flying from Oslo, Norway to Istanbul, Turkey at the time.

    The plane landed safely and everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Authorities confirmed that no explosive device was found on inspection.

    Aerolineas Argentinas Flight Rejects Take Off From Buenos Aires

    Aerolineas Argentinas flight AR-1360 had to reject take off from Buenos Aires, Argentina, on February 15th.

    The Airbus A340-300 plane was accelerating to take off for Bogota, Colombia, when the crew rejected take-off due to a bird strike.

    The plane safely returned to the apron. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Turkish Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Istanbul

    Turkish Airlines flight TK-623 had to return and make an emergency landing in Istanbul, Turkey, on May 15th.

    The Boeing 737-900 plane took off for Abuja, Nigeria, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew failed to retract landing gear.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
