The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Lufthansa Cityline flight LH-2316 had to return and make an emergency landing in Munich, Germany, on February 13th.
The plane took off for Luxembourg but had to turn back due to a fuel pressure problem.

United Express Flight 3888 had to return and make an emergency landing at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas, on October 23rd.
The plane took off for Birmingham, Alabama, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew reported fumes in the cockpit.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
A Cessna 182 plane crash-landed on McCarran Boulevard in Reno, Nevada, on May 24th.
According to the FAA, the incident happened when the plane was attempting an emergency landing due to engine failure.
No one was injured in the incident.
The NTSB is investigating.

Why: While en route, the crew noted smoke filled the cockpit, and they diverted to Lincoln where they made a safe landing. Rescue vehicles were on standby, including Lincoln Fire and Rescue. After evacuation, passengers were booked on alternative flights.
The cause of the smoke has not been published.

Why: The UAE flight was over Mumbai when there was an indication of an engine fire.
The pilot declared emergency at 11:22 and with one engine up, landed at 11: 36 pm. at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai. After passengers disembarked, the plane was towed to a hanger for inspection. The fire was out by the time officials inspected the engine.
The Central Industrial Security Force cordoned off the area.
An alternative flight was provided for the passengers, which left Mumbai for Dubai at 7.20 am Thursday.
IndiGo flight 6E-7124 made an emergency landing in Chennai, India, on November 4th.
The plane flying from Rajahmundry, India, was on final approach to Chennai when the crew went around due to an engine failure.
The plane subsequently landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
