The next big question is whether or not information is withheld.
That’s what some families are wondering, and that’s part of the reason why they’ve hired lawyers. Plaintiffs have access to more information; and they want to know what reason Air France has for not replacing a known Airbus problem, the pitot probes (airbus speed sensors.)
What has been published is error messages based on inconsistent readings taken by the pitot probes.

Jet2 Flight Bursts Two Tires on Landing at Tenerife South Airport
Jet2 flight LS-917 burst two tires on landing at Tenerife South Airport, Spain, on June 27th.The incident happened when the Airbus A330-200 plane was coming from Manchester, England.
There were three hundred and twenty passengers and eleven crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

Why: While en route, the crew received an indicator message that the hydraulics were down (a hydraulics warning light.) The flight was diverted to Auckland where they made a safe landing, even though nosewheel steering (undercarriage problem) is said to have been affected.5 Fire Service/rescue trucks and ambulance staff were on stand by during the landing.
Passengers were provided overnight accommodations and booked on alternative flights.

Airbus Emergency Landing in Phuket
Dec 20, 2012, 20:38; Air Berlin Airbus A330-223 was en route from Phuket to Abu Dhabi. Not long after takeoff, the plane developed engine problems. Smoke was detected in the cabin.
Witnesses on the ground heard three “explosions” when the flight took off, and saw smoke.
Pilots returned to Phuket where they made a hard (fast/heavy) landing that blew three tires. Of the 249 passengers and ten crew, none were injured. The passengers, mostly German, were provided a hotel, and a flight the next day.
The plane was sprayed to cool it down and sent to be examined by maintenance.

Thai Airways Airbus Suffers Turbulence Injuring almost Forty
A Thai Airways Airbus A380-800 en route from Bangkok to Hong Kong encountered turbulence just prior to landing.
The turbulence caused disruption in the plane as things flew about. The seatbelt light was reported to be on.
Of the 500 passengers and 26 crew, about forty people were injured and hospitalized. The flight landed with emergency services on standby.
