Why: After takeoff, the transatlantic flight developed a pressurization problem; and after burning off fuel, on return to Dublin, the flight ran into wind shear (strong crosswinds) resulting in a couple of go-arounds. They were back on the ground about 2 hours after takeoff. The flight was not cancelled until the 19th, and by that time, most passengers had already rebooked. Some passengers aboard that flight have expressed dissatisfaction in their situation, although hotel accommodations were provided.The Irish equivalent of the NTSB (AAIU) said the problems were due to a failed Pressure Regulating and Shut Off valve in the right engine’s bleed air system.

Sun Country Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Boise Airport
Sun Country Airlines Flight 123 had to make an emergency landing at the Boise Airport, Idaho, at around 4 p.m. on September 25.
According to the airport authorities, the decision for emergency landing was made after a warning light indicated an engine fire. The charter flight was en-route from Lewiston, Idaho, to Laughlin, Nevada, at the time.
The Boeing 737 landed uneventfully and no one was injured.
The investigation confirmed that there was no evidence of engine fire. The aircraft’s warning light indicator is being repaired.
Cathay Pacific Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Hong Kong
Cathay Pacific flight CX-3290 made an emergency landing in Hong Kong, China, on June 19th.The Boeing 747-400 plane took off for Anchorage, Alaska, but had to turn back after the crew noticed a gear problem.
The plane landed safely after dumping excess fuel. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.
