    PIA Flight Makes Emergency Landing After Hydraulic Failure

    Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-296 made an emergency landing in Lahore, Pakistan, on September 5th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane flying from Rahim Yar Khan, Pakistan, was descending toward Lahore when the crew noticed a hydraulic failure.

    The crew subsequently performed an alternate gear extension and continued for a safe landing.

    Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    TUIFly Plane Diverts to Greece due to Electrical Problems

    TUIFly flight HG-2273 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Athens International Airport, Greece, on June 30th.

    The Boeing 737-800 flying on behalf of FlyNiki and Air Berlin from Heraklion, Greece, to Berlin Tegel, Germany, had to divert due to electrical problems.

    The plane landed safely.

    The passengers were accommodated in hotels till the aircraft was repaired.

    British Airways Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Heathrow Airport

    British Airways flight BA-269 had to return and make an emergency landing at Heathrow Airport, England, on April 24th.

    The Airbus A380-800 plane took off for Los Angeles, California, but had to turn back after all lavatories stopped working.

    The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Why: The 641-hour private pilot and passenger were departing on a 155-nautical mile night cross-country flight. The tower controller heard a weak transmission that she could not completely understand, but did hear the words “engine” and “power.” The controller asked the pilot to “say again”, but there was no response. She again asked, “say again” and the pilot transmitted, ” I’m going down.” There were no further communications from the pilot. impacting the ground, the airplane cartwheeled. 50 feet wide. Witness reports of the airplane’s flight path along with the wreckage distribution path were consistent with the pilot’s attempt to return to the airport. A post-impact fire consumed the fuselageThe reason for loss of engine power could not be determined.

    Ethiopian Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Lahore

    An Ethiopian Airlines flight had to divert and make an emergency landing at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, Pakistan, on March 18th.

    The plane heading from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to Beijing, China, was diverted after a mentally disabled patient attacked and injured his medical attendant.

    The authorities said both passengers involved in the fight were Chinese nationals.

    Emirates Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Adelaide

    EmiratesEmirates flight EK-432 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Adelaide, Australia, on September 7th.

    The Boeing 777-300 plane heading from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to Brisbane, Australia, was diverted due to an engine issue.
