    United Airlines Plane makes Safe Landing in Ireland

    HT_United_Airlines1_MEM_151006_12x5_1600United Airlines flight UA-25 made a safe emergency landing at Shannon Airport, Clare, Ireland, on July 11th.

    The Boeing 757-200, en-route from Newark, New Jersey, was about to land when its right hand main gear stopped working properly.

    The plane landed safely.

    No one was injured.

    JetBlue Flight Diverts to New York due to Smell of Smoke in Cabin

    JetBlueJetBlue flight B6-275 had to divert and make an emergency landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, on October 21st.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane flying from Hartford, Connecticut, to San Juan, Puerto Rico, was diverted after the crew reported smell of smoke in the cabin.

    The plane landed uneventfully. There were 142 people aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

    The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

    Southwest Airlines Flight 871 Cockpit Fire

    What: Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 en route from Dallas to Little Rock to Baltimore
    Where: Little Rock Arkansas
    When: Sept 7 2011,
    Who: 103 aboard
    Why: While en route, an overhead light fixture in the Flight 871 cockpit caught on fire.

    The crew put out the fire and informed Little Rock Airport ATC to assemble emergency teams as they made an emergency landing in Little Rock.

    The plane made a safe landing with no injuries.

    An alternative flight was arranged for the next leg of flight to Baltimore.

    Delta Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Orlando

    250px-Delta_logo.svgDelta Airlines flight DL-1827 made an emergency landing in Orlando, Florida, on August 28th.

    The plane flying from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Atlanta, Georgia, was diverted after the crew reported a flaps problem.

    The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unhurt.

    United Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Hawaii

    United Airlines flight UA-1175 made an emergency landing in Honolulu, Hawaii, on February 13th.

    The Boeing 777-200 plane was flying from San Francisco, California, when a piece of the cowling separated from the right-hand engine.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Where: Helena
    When: Sunday Dec 6 10 p.m.-6:15 a.m.
    Who: 150 passengers
    Why: While en route to Portland, the plane developed engine trouble, and landed safely in Helena. Passengers were accommodated in the terminal, and a replacement flight arrived to take them to their destination, embarking for Portland at 6:15 a.m.
