The Boeing 787-900 flying from Tokyo, Japan, to Dusseldorf, Germany, had to divert due to problems with its left engine.
The plane landed safely.
No injuries were reported.
El Al Israel Airlines flight LY-572 had to return for an emergency landing at Henri Coanda International Airport, Romania, on August 1st.
The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for Tel Aviv, Israel, but had to turn back after the crew reported a loud noise in the cockpit.
The plane landed uneventfully. All passengers and crew members remained safe.

Why: While en route, the plane encountered turbulence severe enough to injure a flight attendant. On landing at Fort Lauderdale, the flight attendant was hospitalized.
Jet Time flight SK-1289 made a safe landing at Billund Airport, Billund, Denmark, on July 31st.
The Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A flying from Copenhagen, Denmark, was mid-air when its first officer started feeling sick and developed cold sweat.
The plane landed safely.
No one was injured.

What: Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-300 en route from Islip Long Island to Chicago
Where: Buffalo-Niagara International Airport

Who: 120 passengers
Why: While en route, the plane developed a cabin air pressurization problem. The pilot decided to divert to Buffalo, and made a safe landing. Passengers disembarked and boarded an alternative flight to Chicago.

What: Air Berlin Boeing 737-800 en route from Dortmund Germany to Las Palmas, Spain
Where: Dortmund
When: Jan 3rd 2010
Who: 165 passengers and 6 crew
Why: During snowy weather, the pilot rejected takeoff. Unable to stop quickly enough, the plane overran the runway. Passengers debarked via emergency stairs while the plane remained stuck.
PSA Airlines flight AA-5360 made an emergency landing at Greenville-Spartanburgh Airport in South Carolina, on April 19th.
The plane was flying from Washington, D.C. when the crew reported an issue with flaps extension.
The plane landed at higher than normal speed. Everyone aboard remained unhurt.
