What: Jetblue Airbus A320-200 en route from New York to Fort Lauderdale

Why: While en route, the plane encountered turbulence severe enough to injure a flight attendant. On landing at Fort Lauderdale, the flight attendant was hospitalized.
American Airlines flight 1134 made an emergency landing in Little Rock, Arkansas, on October 22nd.
The plane heading from Nashville, Tennessee, to Los Angeles, California, was diverted after the crew noticed smoke in the cabin.
The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained safe.
Vueling Airlines flight VY-8549 was intercepted by two Czech Gripen fighter jets on May 27th.
The Airbus A320-200, en-route from Helsinki, Finland, to Barcelona, Spain, was about to enter Czech Airspace, however, the crew did not establish contact with Czech Air Traffic Control. Two Gripen fighter jets were therefore dispatched that contacted the flight on emergency frequency.
The communication was restored around 15 minutes after the plane entered Czech Airspace.
What: United Airlines /Shuttle America Embraer ERJ-170 en route from Chicago to Newark
Where: Detroit
When: Apr 23rd 2011
Why: While en route, the flight encountered severe turbulence that injured a flight attendant. The pilot diverted to detroit and made a safe landing. It is not clear if the flight attendant was hospitalized in detroit, only that undesignated injuries occurred.
Air France flight AF-1688 was forced to divert and make an emergency landing in Vienna, Austria, on October 3.
The Airbus A319-100, en-route from Charles de Gaulle airport, France, to Bucharest Otopeni airport, Romania, had to be diverted after the crew reported a burning odor on-board.
The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.
The passengers were accommodated in other flights.
A Saudi Arabian Airlines plane made an emergency landing in Jazan, Saudi Arabia, on May 8th.
The plane took off for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but had to return shortly afterwards due to a bird strike.
The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.

What: Austrian Airlines De Havilland Canada DHC-8-402Q Dash 8 en route from Florence Italy to Vienna
Where: Vienna International Airport
When: Nov 5 2012
Who: 80 aboard 76 passengers, 4 crew
Why: On landing at Vienna International Airport, the Austrian Airlines De Havilland Dash lost the inboard wheel of the right landing gear.
There were no injuries reported. The accident is under investigation.
