A 69 year old sick passenger traveling on American Airlines Flight 12 died shortly after the pilot made an emergency landing at O’Hare International Airport in order to provide the passenger medical care.
American Airlines spokesperson Mary Frances Fagan said that the flight was en route from Los Angeles to New York when a passenger got sick. The pilot then decided to make an emergency landing at O’Hare to provide emergency medical treatment to the old man. The plane landed at about 4:45 p.m. on April 2, after which he was rushed to Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center. He was confirmed dead at 5:08 p.m.
