    Scandinavian Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Norway

    Scandinavian Airlines flight SK-7402 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Stavanger, Norway, on March 11th.

    The Boeing 737-700 plane heading from Las Palmas, Spain, to Haugesund, Norway, was diverted due to an engine issue.

    The plane landed safely. All 136 people aboard remained unharmed.

    Small Plane Crashes into Virginia Home; 3 Injured

    A small plane crashed into a home in Topping, Virginia, on October 7th.

    Authorities said the plane struck two trees and crashed into a home, shortly after departing Hummel Field.

    There were three people aboard, including two adults and a juvenile. All of them sustained minor injuries and were taken to Rappahannock General Hospital.

    No one was home at the time of the crash.

    The incident is under investigation.

    2nd Combat Aviation Brigade’s Chopper Makes Emergency Landing in South Korea

    chopperA chopper, belonging to the 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, made an emergency landing near Camp Humphreys, located close to South Korea’s Anjeong-ri and Pyeongtaek metropolitan areas, on August 24.

    The OH –58 Kiowa Warrior helicopter was on a routine maintenance flight around the camp when it had to land in emergency.

    Both pilots sustained minor injuries.

    The cause of emergency landing is not clear at the moment.

    Airbus Depressurizes en Route to Tokyo

    Who: 147 people on board
    Why: The Airbus experienced pressurization issues en route. The plane returned to Vancouver and landed safely an hour after it left.

    Sky Airline Plane Diverts to Chile due to Landing Gear and Weather Issue

    Sky Airline flight H2-142 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Viña del Mar Airport, Chile, on July 25th.

    The Airbus A319-100 flying from Santiago to Antofagasta in Chile had to divert due to an issue with its landing gear and poor weather.

    The plane landed safely.

    No one was injured.

    Bird-Struck China Eastern Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Xiamen

    China Eastern AirlineA Shanghai-bound China Eastern Airlines flight made an uneventful emergency landing at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, after a bird collided with the pilot-side window.

    Flight MU5666 took off from Xiamen at about 1:29pm on April 16. Shortly after the take off, the captain requested emergency landing due to a bird strike. The plane then returned and landed safely. None of the passengers or crew members were injured.

    The ground attendants found the windshield to be severely damaged and splattered with blood and feathers. China Eastern Airlines has confirmed the incident, and commended their crew for calmly handling the situation.

    According to airport authorities, passengers were taken to their destination on another plane.
