    Small Plane Crash-Lands at Tupelo Regional Airport

    A single-engine Cessna made a soft crash-landing at Tupelo Regional Airport in Tupelo, Mississippi, shortly before 6:30 p.m. on February 3.

    The plane was returning from Starkville to Tupelo when it developed some landing gear issues.

    According to Tupelo Fire Chief Thomas Walker, the aircraft’s back landing gear deployed normally but front gear did not come down. It kept skidding on its nose for about 30 yards before coming to halt in the middle of runway.

    The pilot, who was the only one aboard, remained unharmed.

    The accident is being investigated.

    Iberia Express Plane Diverts to England due to Smoke in Cockpit

    Iberia Express flight I2-3617/ IB-3617 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Gatwick Airport, England, UK, on May 25th.

    The Airbus A320-200 flying from London, England, to Las Palmas, Spain, had to divert due to smoke in cockpit.

    The plane landed safely.

    No injuries were reported.

    The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

    Mexican Plane Crash, 14 fatalities


    On Nov 14, 2013, an Aereo Services Guerrero Cessna 208B Grand Caravan en route from Loreto to Ciudad Constitucion was lost en route. All attempts to contact the plane from ATC failed.

    Locals reported seeing the plane flying low in Tembabichi. Search perimeters were extablished but Tropical Storm Octave with 50 mph winds interfered with the flight as well as the search.

    The wreckage was found at Agua Verde and Tembabichi area, Baja California Sur.

    The wreckage was found on Oct 17, 2013, with fourteen passengers were aboard, all fatalities.

    Cessna tree-strike

    What: Oasis Flight Services. twin engine Cessna en route to Plymouth Municipal Airport
    Where: PLYMOUTH, Mass
    When: June 19 2010,5:15 p.m.
    Who: three aboard
    Why: After surveying, the Cessna was en route to the airport when it got stuck in a tree in a Plymouth neighborhood. No one was injured.

    Scandinavian Airlines Plane Returns to Shannon Airport due to Landing Gear Problem

    Scandinavian Airlines flight SK-9113 had to return and make an emergency landing at Shannon Airport, Ireland, on February 12th.

    The Boeing 737-700 plane took off for Ostrava, Czech Republic, but had to turn back due to an issue with the landing gear.

    The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Loganair Flight Returns to Sumburgh Airport After Bird Strike

    Loganair flight LM-438 had to return and make an emergency landing at Sumburgh Airport, Scotland, on October 19th.

    The plane took off for Glasgow, Scotland, but had to turn back due to a bird strike.
