    AA Flight Diverts to Dublin Due to Medical Emergency

    American EagleAmerican airlines flight AA787 had to divert and make an unscheduled landing at Dublin Airport, Ireland, on October 24.

    The Airbus A330-200 plane, heading from Paris to Charlotte, North Carolina, was diverted after a passenger went into premature labour mid-air.

    The plane landed safely. The woman was shifted to Rotunda Hospital, Dublin.

    Moscow-Bound Aeroflot Airlines Plane Struck by Lightning

    AeroflotAeroflot Airlines flight SU-2595 was struck by lightning after taking off from Munich, Germany, on October 18th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane was heading to Moscow, Russia, when it experienced a lightning strike.

    However, the crew reported that there were no adverse indications and decided to continue the flight.

    The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Almost 200 Feared Dead in Air Crash

    Brazilian officials now fear at least 195 people are dead from Tuesday night’s jetliner crash in Sao Paulo. The TAM airlines Airbus-320 was on a domestic flight to Sao Paulo from the southern city of Porto Alegre when it skidded off the end of the rain-slicked runway, crashed into a gas station and a building and burst into flames.

    Who: 227 passengers
    Why: On landing at Narita, the plane’s left gear began smoking, which engaged emergency services. Hydraulics were leaking from the top of the gear strut. Timely repairs were made so that the plane was able to make its return flight.

    What: Belle Air Europe Airbus A320-200 en route from Dusseldorf to Pristina Kosovo
    Where: Dusseldorf
    When: Mar 21st 2012
    Why: The Airbus was on the runway in Dussseldorf when the plane developed a problem with the nose gear. At low speed, the pilots rejected takeoff.

    After sitting in the plane more than half an hour, passengers disembarked on the runway as mechanics examined the nose gear.

    Passengers were bussed to the terminal.

    Eurowings Flight Rejects Takeoff From Las Vegas

    Eurowings flight EW-175 had to reject takeoff from Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 21st.

    The Airbus A330-200 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Cologne, Germany, when the crew rejected takeoff due to shimmy vibrations from the nose gear.

    The plane safely returned to the apron. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
