United Airlines flight UA-2 made an emergency landing at Narita International Airport, Japan, on November 28th.
The Boeing 787-900 plane was heading from Singapore to San Francisco, California, when it encountered turbulence twice, causing injuries to two crew members.
The crew subsequent diverted to Narita International Airport.
The plane landed safely. The injured were taken to a hospital.

The plane took off for Bangkok, Thailand, but had to return shortly afterwards due to an engine problem.
The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

I’m glad there were no injuries involved; but I chuckle picturing the chargeback on some flight attendant’s chit because the airline was forced to land the plane when she 1. burned the toast or
2. accidentally toasted the microwave or

Landing
A Qantas Boeing 737-800 en route from Brisbane to Townsville made an emergency landing in Rockhampton. Emergency fire crews were on standby.
Passengers noted turbulence. After the pilot informed passengers of technical difficulties, air masks descended. The pilots descended to a safe altitude prior to landing.
Online reports indicate the cabin was losing pressure.
An alternative flight was provided to take passengers to Townsville.
Westjet flight WS-217 made an emergency landing in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, on November 27.
The Boeing 737-800, heading from Montreal, Québec, to Calgary, Alberta, when the crew noticed an electrical burning odor and decided to divert to Saskatoon.
The plane landed safely. There were 115 people aboard at the time; none of them were harmed.
All Nippon Airways flight NH-770 had to return and make an emergency landing in Okinawa, Japan, on June 1st.
The Boeing 777-200 plane took off for Osaka, Japan, but had to turn back after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.
The plane landed uneventfully. All 405 people aboard remained safe.
