    GoJet Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Missouri

    GoJet Airlines flight G7-6202 had to return and make an emergency landing in Saint Louis, Missouri, on January 24th.

    The plane took off for Minneapolis, Minnesota, but had to turn back after a windshield cracked due to a bird strike.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Cessna Crash in Arizona


    A Cessna 340A en route from Laughlin-Bullhead International Airport to Ernest A. Love Field Airport when it clipped trees and a radio tower during a low pass at the Gunsite Training Academy. There are four fatalities.

    Passengers were going to Gunsite Firearms Training Academy when the plane struck a radio tower and crashed. Witnesses heard the plane whining before it crashed.

    Respondents include Chino Valley Fire and Yavapai County Sheriff’s department.

    The names of the victims have not been released. The FAA is investigating.

    Why: After experiencing engine trouble en route (described as a “snag”) the flight returned to Delhi and made an emergency landing, with emergency services standing by. Specific details about the engine problem have not been released.

    Air New Zealand Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Tauranga Airport

    Air New ZealandAn Air New Zealand flight had to make an emergency landing at Tauranga Airport, New Zealand, on May 3.

    It is believed that emergency was declared due to a fault in a landing light.

    Firefighters were called as a precaution, however, the Bombardier Q300 airplane landed safely.

    The scheduled destination of flight and the number of people onboard is not known at the moment.

    Thomas Cook Flight Diverted to Bermuda due to Drunk Passenger

    Thomas CookA Thomas Cook flight had to make an unscheduled landing in Bermuda, at around 6 p.m. on November 24.

    The flight was on its way from Manchester, England, to Cuba when a British man, identified as Mohammed Khelya, started threatening the flight crew, passengers and even his new wife. The pilot decided to divert to Bermuda while the crew members handcuffed the unruly passenger and kept him restrained at the back of the aircraft.

    The Airbus A330 safely landed at LF Wade International Airport where the security officials arrested Khelya.

    An airline spokesperson said, ‘Thomas Cook Airlines can confirm that flight TCX244 from Manchester to Holguin, Cuba, diverted to Bermuda and a customer was removed from the aircraft and detained by local police…We operate a zero-tolerance policy towards any behaviour on board our aircraft that affects the safety and welfare of our customers and crew.”

    Khelya was presented in Bermudan court on Tuesday where Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo fined him $3000.

    Turkish Airlines Plane Diverts to Sudan After Bomb Scare

    Turkish Airlines flight 606 had to make an emergency landing at Khartoum International Airport, Sudan, on November 30th.

    The plane heading from Nairobi, Kenya, to Cairo, Egypt, was diverted after a passenger reported a bomb threat.

    The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.

    It is believed that the bomb scare was caused due to an on-board wi-fi network called “bomb on board”.
