United Airlines flight 3663, operated by GoJet, had to return and make an emergency landing at Raleigh-Durham International Airport, North Carolina, on May 28.
The plane took off for Chicago but had to return shortly afterwards due to smoke in cockpit.
The Canadair CRJ-700 twin-jet landed uneventfully. All 66 passengers aboard remained unharmed.
