United Airlines flight UA5 had to return and make an emergency landing at London Heathrow Airport, UK, at around 3 p.m. on October 10.
The Boeing 787, en-route to Houston, Texas, was returned after it got struck by lightning midair.
The plane landed uneventfully and none of the 130 passengers was hurt.
United Airlines said that the aircraft was taken for examination.
Fleet Air International flight FRF-101 was intercepted by fighter jets on March 7th.
The plane was heading from Otopeni, Romania, to Birmingham, England, when it lost communication with the ATC.
Fighter planes were dispatched from Belgium and UK that intercepted the flight and escorted it safely to Birmingham.
Everyone aboard remained safe.
Ryanair flight FR-6579 had to reject takeoff from Palma de Mallorca Airport, Spain, on April 22nd.
The Boeing 737-800 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Barcelona, Spain, when the crew received a cargo door indication and rejected takeoff.
The plane safely returned to the apron. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

EasyJet flight EZY-8386 made an emergency landing in Milan, Italy, on October 11th.
The plane heading from Kephalonia International Airport, Greece, to Gatwick Airport, England, was diverted after smoke was noticed in the cabin.

On Feb 2, Air India Flight AI-191, a Boeing 777-337ER, en route from Ahmedabad to Mumbai blew three tires on landing. The crew was able to taxi to the gate with assistance. No injuries to the 260 passengers resulted from the blown tires, and there were no reports of injuries using the emergency exits.
The AI flight’s eventual destination was the US. Passengers continuing their journey were provided an alternative Boeing 777.
THere’s no indication if the tires blew do to the runway surface, tire quality, a hard landing or other reason. The incident is under investigation.
