    KLM Plane Makes Emergency Landing After Captain Becomes Ill

    KLM flight KL-643 had to divert and make an emergency landing in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, on February 25th.

    British Airways flight BA-196 made an emergency landing at Heathrow Airport, England, on November 13th.

    The Boeing 777-200 plane was flying from Houston, Texas, when the crew requested emergency assistance due to a technical issue.

    American Eagle Jet in Emergency Landing at Abilene

    American eagleAn American Eagle jet, en-route from Midland to Dallas-Fort Worth, had to make an unscheduled in Abilene, Texas, on October 14.

    According to airline spokesperson Matt Miller, the pilots declared emergency after a warning light indicated a braking system malfunction.

    The Bombardier CRJ700 aircraft, landed uneventfully at Abilene Regional Airport and none of the 52 passengers and 4 crew members was hurt.

    The aircraft was taken for examination.

    American Eagle Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Green Bay

    An American Eagle plane had to divert and make an emergency landing at Austin Straubel International Airport in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on February 12.

    The plane, heading from Marquette, Michigan, to Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, was diverted after it developed control problems.

    The plane landed safely.

    There were 42 passengers and 3 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unhurt.

    Several Injured After Chicago-Bound EVA Air Plane Hits Turbulence

    EVA Air flight BR-56 encountered severe turbulence on the way to Chicago, Illinois, on November 22nd.

    The Boeing 777-300 plane flying from Taipei, Taiwan, was near Fukuoka, Japan, when it hit turbulence that injured three passengers and nine crew members.

    The plane continued to Chicago and landed uneventfully.

    The injured were taken to a hospital.

    Small Plane Crashes in Indiana; Pilot Killed

    A small plane crashed near Goshen Municipal Airport, Indiana, on February 21st.

    The pilot was practicing approaches to the airport when the plane hit power lines and went down.

    The pilot, Neal Myers, 55, of Middlebury, was killed in the crash.
