Lufthansa flight LH-1069 had to return and make an emergency landing in Nice, France, on January 5th.
The Airbus A319-100 plane took off for Frankfurt, Germany, but had to turn back due to an engine issue.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Delta Flight 886 Diverts to JFK Airport; Rolls off the Taxiway
Delta Airlines Flight 886 had to make an emergency landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport, due to a fault in plane’s hydraulic system.
The plane was en route from Atlanta to LaGuardia Airport. However, as the fault was detected, it was diverted to the JFK airport.
The airline told that the decision of diversion was made because the JFK airport has longer runways than the LaGuardia Airport.
The McDonald Douglas MD8 aircraft made a safe landing at about 9pm on Wednesday, April 2. But the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey told that while taxiing to the terminal, it skidded off the taxi way, on to the grassy area.
There were 118 passengers and 5 crew members on board. None of them was injured.
Air France Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Charles de Gaulle Airport
Air France flight AF-830 had to return and make an emergency landing at Charles de Gaulle Airport, France, on April 6th.
The Airbus A340-300 plane took off for Pointe-Noire, Congo, but had to turn back after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Smoke forces 2nd American Eagle Emergency Landing
What: American Eagle flight 3890 en route from the Cedar Rapids Eastern Iowa Airport
Where: Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport
When: 12:44 p.m
Who: 51 people on board
Why: 300 feet from the runway, a sensor indicated smoke in the cargo compartment, flight 3890 landed safely in Dallas.
Incidentally, American Airlines flight 2461 issued an alert Thursday after smoke was detected.
Yakutia Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Engine Issue
Yakutia Airlines flight R3-498 made an emergency landing in Blagoveshchensk, Russia, on February 15th.
The plane took off for Yakutsk, Russia, but had to turn back after the crew noticed an engine problem.
The plane landed back safely. All thirty-one passengers and four crew members remained unharmed.
