Saudi Arabian Airlines flight SV-116 made an emergency landing in Brussels, Belgium, on June 30th.
The Boeing 777-300 plane, en-route from London, United Kingdom, to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, was diverted after the crew reported smoke in the cabin.
The plane landed safely. All 144 people aboard remained unharmed.

Why: While en route, the plane indicated low oil pressure in an engine and the engine was shut down. The flight diverted to Kirkenes where it made a safe landing. The problem was repaired within 3 hours and the flight resumed.
An Allegiant Air flight had to make an emergency landing at Central Nebraska Regional Airport, Grand Island, Nebraska, at around 3:30 p.m. on October 20.
The Flight 8502 was on its way from North Platte to Sioux City, Iowa, when a warning signal indicated that equipment at the back of the aircraft was overheating.
The plane landed uneventfully and all 6 people aboard, including 2 pilots and 4 crew members, remained unharmed.
The aircraft was taken for inspection.
The Canadair CRJ-200, heading from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to Denver was descending toward the runway when the crew reported a small crack in the windshield.
SkyWest Airlines flight OO-5974/UA-5974 continued for a safe landing at Denver International Airport, Denver, Colorado, on March 21.
The plane landed safely.
All 54 people on board remained unhurt.
Alaska Airlines flight 2372 made an emergency landing at Spokane International Airport, Washington, on December 15.
The Bombardier Q400 plane was flying from Seattle, Washington, when the crew reported smoke in the cabin and declared an emergency.
The plane landed safely. All 75 passengers and 4 crew members remained unhurt.
The aircraft was taken out of service.

What: UTAir/Tulpar Airlines Yakovlev Yak-42 en route from Moscow Vnukovo to Volgograd with 57 passengers and 7 crew
When: Dec 10th 2011
Who: 57 passengers and 7 crew
Why: While en route, the Yak developed engine problems in the left engine.
The crew shut down the engine (idled) and made a safe landing in Volgograd.
Qantas Airways plane had to return and make an emergency landing at Sydney Airport, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, on April 5th.
The Airbus A380, en-route to Dubai, UAE, was mid-air when the crew detected engine vibration issues, prompting it to return eight hours after taking off from Melbourne.
The plane landed uneventfully.
All 410 passengers onboard remained unharmed.
