    Malmo Aviation Plane Returns to Germany due to Gear Problem

    Malmo Aviation flight TF-9887 had to return for a safe landing at Cologne Bonn Airport, Cologne, North Rhine- Westphalia, Germany on February 13.

    The Avro RJ-100, heading from Cologne to Malmo, Sweden, was mid-air when the crew reported some problem with its gear, causing it to return.

    The plane landed safely.

    All people aboard remained unhurt.

    Nouvelair Flight Returns to Tunisia After Bird Strike

    Nouvelair flight BJ-808 had to return and make an emergency landing in Monastir, Tunisia, on June 27th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Saint Petersburg, Russia, but had to return shortly afterwards due to a bird strike.

    The plane landed safely. All one hundred and eighty people aboard remained unharmed.

    Southwest Flight Lands in Emergency at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport

    southwest_airlines_logoSouthwest Airlines Flight 481 returned to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, located in Austin, Texas, for emergency landing on the morning of September 23.

    The flight, headed to Dallas, was diverted after the crew reported odor in the cabin.

    The plane landed safely however, as a precaution, passengers were evacuated through evacuation slides. None of the 107 passengers and 5 crew members was hurt.

    The passengers were accommodated in other flights while the aircraft was taken for maintenance.

    Allegiant Air Flight Diverts to Jacksonville International Airport

    AllegiantAllegiant Air flight 758 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Jacksonville International Airport, Florida, on March 2nd.

    Authorities said the plane, heading from Orlando Sanford International Airport, Florida, to Indianapolis International Airport, Indiana, was diverted due to a pressurization problem.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All 155 passengers and 6 crew members remained safe.

    The airline said in a statement, “A replacement aircraft will be sent to JAX from SFB and is scheduled to depart JAX at 12:40 p.m. and arrive in IND at 2:40 p.m. Passengers will be receiving a refund for the flight segment, food at the gate, the option to change their flight to another one in the Allegiant network and $200 vouchers for future travel on Allegiant.”
