    Jetstar Airways Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Melbourne

    Jetstar Airways flight JQ-772 had to return and make an emergency landing in Melbourne, Australia, on October 20th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Adelaide, Australia, but had to turn back after two flight attendants reported feeling unwell due to an odor in the cabin.

    The plane landed safely. Both flight attendants were taken to a hospital.

    Air Ambulance Emergency Landing

    What: NSW Air Ambulance A Beech King Air 350 (VH-NAO) o en route from Sydney to Wagga Wagga
    Where: Sydney
    When: Oct 23, 2012
    Who: 3 aboard
    Why: A patient, flight nurse and pilot were uninjured when an emergency developed aboard the flight.

    The patient was being taken to Wagga Wagga when the plane had an undercarriage indication failure. The pilot returned to the airport and did a flyby for visual confirmation that the landing gear was not locked in place; and then made a safe landing at Sydney Airport in Mascot.

    The elderly female passenger was transferred to an ambulance and driven to a hospital.

    Indonesia AirAsia Flight Returns to Perth due to Loss of Cabin Pressure

    Indonesia AirAsia flight QZ-535 had to make an emergency landing in Perth, Australia, on October 15th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Denpasar, Indonesia, but had to turn back due to loss of cabin pressure.

    The plane landed back safely. Everyone aboard remained uninjured.

    Four Killed in Helicopter Crash in New South Wales

    On March 21, 2013 at about 1215 Eastern daylight-saving time, a Bankstown Heliport Robinson R44 on a private flight from Bankstown to Bulli Tops, New South Wales with four aboard suffered a terrain collision near Panorama House in Bulli Tops near Wollongong in NSW.

    Emergency services arrived on the scene around 1:43 pm. After the crash, the helicopter burned. Thirty units responded to the scene.

    The ATSB is investigating.

    Maxem Aviation Cessna Flight Aborted

    A Maxem Aviation Cessna 560 Citation Encore blew a tire at 6.02 am during an aborted takeoff from Perth Airport.

    Subsequently, the plane came to rest without landing gear with two blown main gear tires.

    The Cessna sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported among the two pilots and seven passengers.
