What: Cessna 206 en route from St. Paul to Glens Falls, N.Y. Where: northern Michigan When: 2:15 p.m Who: Pilot was killed in the crash. Why: The pilot encountered trouble near Traverse City, Mich. The plane dipped its wing, clipped some trees, then crashed through the roof of a mobile home. Residents of the mobile home were outside shoveling snow at the time and are unhurt, although the home was destroyed.

What: USMC HMLA-469 Bell AH-1W Super Cobra Where: Yuma, AZ When: Feb 22, 2012, 8 pm Who: 2 aboard, 2 fatalities Why: The helicopter was engaged in night flight exercises on February 22nd near Yuma, AZ when it collided with another flight. Service members with the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing were involved.
The crash happened west of the Chocolate Mountains in California.
The names of the two fatalities have not been released.

The government sent a rescue crew 8 hours after the crash. The rescue plane was found 17 kilometers from land. A child–either a 5 year old boy or a 15 year old girl–was apparently found alive. Two french ships and a french airplane were already engaged in searching before Yemen sent a ship and military plane.

Businesssman/pilot Andrew Ridings, said in an interview that he only had an instant to choose whether to fall into the river or a tree; he chose a “fuffy” tree, made a 180 degree turn and landed on it 8 feet from the river, and fell through. A local worker cleared a path for emergency services to make a prompt arrival.
Two of the injured were released from the hospital; one remains hospitalized with a back injury.
The The Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) is investigating.
Two aboard were taken by Great Western Ambulance Service to Southampton General Hospital and one was taken by ambulance. All three made it safely out of the helicopter, suffering a variety of injuries.

What: Fuerza Aérea Boliviana Cessna T210 Turbo Centurion en route from El Alto International Airport in La Paz Where: Santa Elena River, Iquisiva Province, La Paz When: May 5 2011 Who: 6 aboard Why: The Bolivian Air Force plane piloted by the air force and carrying four United Nations workers was doing a fly-by and did not return at 2:30 as scheduled. The plane, which had been missing since May 5 and a search going on in Yungas (Coroico, La Asunta and Caranavi). The flight was located near the Santa Elena River, where it appears that it hit a tree during an emergency landing.
The passengers lost in the crash were Ivan Alfaro Santiago, Estephan Campos Ruiz, Mariela Romero Torreblanco and Patricia Delgado Rua, and the Cessna was being flown by Lt. Néstor Álvaro Ottich Arenas and Lt. José Javier Alegría Estrada.
