A twin-engine plane crashed near the small town of Boyes, Billings, Carter County, Montana, on the noon of September 17th.
The Beechcraft Baron carrying a man, woman and one 14 year old boy went down in a grassy area.
All three people onboard were killed in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.

What: Flugfelag Air Iceland de Havilland Dash 8-100 en route from Reykjavik Iceland to Nuuk Greenland

Who: 31 passengers and 3 crew
Why: After weather conditions had already delayed the flight for more than a day, passengers were finally able to make the journey. However, on landing, the plane veered off the runway in gusty conditions. The de Havilland Dash received nose, propellers and engines damage, but no one aboard was injured.
Perhaps they should have delayed the flight for another day.
Southwest Airlines flight WN-1539 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Pensacola, Florida, on December 12th.
The Boeing 737-700 plane heading from Orlando, Florida, to Houston, Texas, was diverted after a burning odor was noticed in the cabin.
The plane landed uneventfully. All passengers and crew members remained safe.

Why: When the pilot’s engine quit, the pilot made an emergency landing in a tobacco field. The vehicle was described as a “hangglider with a motor”
Amakusa Airlines flight AHX-108 had to make an emergency landing in Amakusa, Japan, on October 13.
The de Havilland Dash 8-100 aircraft was approaching the airport when the crew received fire indication for right hand engine and declared emergency. The plane was flying from Fukuoka at the time.
The crew activated fire suppression system and shut down the engine before the plane safely landed. All 38 people aboard remained unharmed.
The cause of smoke is being investigated.
American Airlines flight AA-574 made an emergency landing in Tampa, Florida, on September 19th.
The Airbus A320-200 was flying from Phoenix, Arizona, when the crew reported a landing gear issue and declared an emergency.
The plane landed uneventfully. There were 146 people aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.
According to a preliminary report released by the NTSB, two passenger planes ‘nearly collided’ mid-air last month near Newark Liberty Airport, New Jersey.
The incident happened on April 24 when a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, registered to United Airlines was about to land at the airport while an Embraer ERJ145 aircraft belonging to ExpressJet flight was taking off. At about 3pm, the distance between the two planes was recorded to be only 200 feet laterally, and 400 feet vertically.
The report revealed that “The local controller recognized that the spacing was insufficient and instructed the B737 to go around. He provided traffic advisories to both the B737 and the ERJ145 pilots and instructed the ERJ145 pilot to maintain visual separation from the B737. The ERJ145 pilot responded that he was going to keep the aircraft’s nose down. The B737 overflew the ERJ145 at the intersection of runways 29/4R”.
There were 47 passengers and 3 crew members aboard the ExpressJet flight while the United flight was flying with 155 passengers and 6 crew members on board.
