3 Killed, 1 Injured After Small Plane Crashes in Switzerland

A Piper PA-28 plane crashed near the Diavolezza mountain in Switzerland, on August 4th.

The incident happened when the plane was transporting three teenagers who were participating in a week-long youth camp organized by Swiss Aero Club.

Three people, including the pilot and two 14-year old boys were killed in the crash. A 17-year-old girl was injured and was flown to a hospital in serious condition.

The cause of crash is being investigated.

Air Asia X Plane Diverts to Australia after Bird Strike

Air Asia X flight D7-207 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Brisbane Airport, Queensland, Australia, on July 3rd.

The Airbus A330-300 flying from Coolangatta, Australia, to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, had to divert due to bird strike resulting in engine problems.

The plane landed uneventfully.

All 345 passengers and 14 crew members aboard remained safe.

Sita Air Plane Diverts to Nepal due to Bad Weather

Sita Air flight ST-605 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Phaplu Airport, Dudhakunda, Nepal, on April 23rd.

The Dornier Do-228 flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, Nepal, had to divert due to bad weather.

The plane’s wing hit a wall during the landing.

All 14 passengers and 3 crew members remained safe.

Danish Air Transport Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Denmark

The plane took off for Copenhagen, Denmark, but had to turn back after the crew noticed smoke in the cabin and cockpit.

The plane landed safely. All 14 passengers and 4 crew members remained unharmed.

American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Cold Bay

American EagleAmerican Airlines flight AA-288 made an emergency landing in Cold Bay, Alaska, on October 12th.

The Boeing 787-800 plane heading from Shanghai, China, to Chicago, Illinois, was diverted after the crew received indication of a possible mechanical issue.

The plane landed safely. All 100 passengers and 14 crew members remained unhurt.

Multi-Engine Plane Crashes in Montana; 3 Killed

A twin-engine plane crashed near the small town of Boyes, Billings, Carter County, Montana, on the noon of September 17th.

The Beechcraft Baron carrying a man, woman and one 14 year old boy went down in a grassy area.

All three people onboard were killed in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.

VLM Flight Diverts to Ireland due to Nose Gear Problem

VLMVLM airlines flight W2-6142 had to divert and make a safe emergency landing at Dublin Airport, Dublin, Ireland, on May 20th.

The Fokker 50, heading from London, England, was on approach to Waterford’s runway when the crew reported a problem with its nose gear.

The plane landed successfully.

All 14 passengers and 4 crew members onboard remained unharmed.

EVASExploits Vallet Air Service flight AC-7804 made a hard landing at Gander International Airport, Canada, on April 20.

The Beech 1900D, flying on behalf of Air Canada, had its nose gear collapsed causing it to skid on its nose to a stop on the runway.

There were 14 passengers and 2 crew members aboard. Three of them were injured.

The plane sustained minor damage.
