Why: The plane never arrived at Port Moresby, and is missing during heavily overcast weather conditions. The last radio contact was on approach to Kokoda, which was aborted.

Who: no fatalities
Why: The right wing of Lion Air Boeing 737-900(PK-LFL) grazed the tail of (PK-OCU)Airfast Indonesia MD 82 which was improperly parked. (The incident appears to be due to negligent parking.)
The Lion Air plane had been scheduled to take-off at 5:20.
An investigation is underway.

Who: 153 occupants
Why: On approach to Fort Myers, the flight experienced turbulence that injured four passengers including a spinal fracture and broken ribs.
What: Iberia/Air Nostrum Canadair CRJ-200 en route from Madrid, to Valencia
Where: Madrid
When: Sep 13th 2010
Why: The plane had successfully taken off from Madrid, then received an alert and returned to Madrid where the crew made a safe landing.
Systems were repaired and the flight resumed an hour and a half later.

Where: Mumbai
When: Nov 3rd 2009
Who: 154 passengers
Why: After the Airbus was cleared to land, reconstruction work apparently impeded the flight’s landing, and sent crews running for cover. The second approach also failed, but the plane landed safely on the third pass. The incident is under investigation.
