Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-263 had to return and make an emergency landing in Lahore, Pakistan, on December 21st.
The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, but had to turn back after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Why: After takeoff, the flight suffered a problem, and according to officials a bird strike “was not ruled out”. It took fifteen minutes to return to the airport to make a safe landing after the bird strike.
A SpiceJet flight had to return and make an emergency landing at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, in Hyderabad, India, on April 24th.
The plane took off for Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India, but had to return shortly afterwards after the pilot reported a technical snag.
The plane landed safely. No injuries were reported.
LOT Polish Airlines flight LO-3944 had to return and make an emergency landing at Poznan-Lawica Henryk Wieniawski Airport, Poznan, Poland, on December 31.
The De Havilland Dash 8-400, flying from Poznan, to Warsaw, Poland, was mid-air when it encountered some problem with its air conditioning systems, causing it to return.
The plane landed safely.
All passengers on board remained safe.
A Cathay Dragon plane suffered a tail strike while landing in Siem Reap, Cambodia, on March 3rd.
The incident happened when the Airbus A321-200 plane was performing flight KA-248 from Hong Kong, China.
The plane taxied to apron without further incident.
All 143 passengers aboard remained safe.
Yakutia Airlines flight R3-495 had to return and make an emergency landing in Yakutsk, Russia, on December 5th.
The plane took off for Khabarovsk, Russia, but had to turn back due to a nose gear issue.
The plane landed safely. All 96 passengers and 5 crew members remained unharmed.

What: Tarom Romanian Air Transport Airbus A310-300 en route from Bucharest Otopeni (Romania) to Tenerife Sur Reina,CI (Spain)
Where: Madrid
When: Jun 18th 200p
Who: 201 passengers and 10 crew members
Why: En route the windshield cracked, and the flight was diverted safely to Madrid. No injuries were reported though the cockpit depressurized.
