    Small Plane Crashed in Paulding County, Ohio

    A small plane crashed near the intersection of county roads 137 and 60, northwest of Grover Hill in Paulding County, Ohio, at around 6 p.m. on November 6.

    Unconfirmed reports suggest that the single-engine plane was on its way from Fort Wayne International Airport to Toledo when it crashed.

    It is believed that all those aboard were killed. However, the authorities did not say how many people were travelling in the aircraft at the time of crash.

    The accident is under investigation.

    Cuban Flight Crashes; All aboard are Lost

    What: Aerocaribbean ATR-72-500 en route from Santiago to Havana
    Where: Guasimal, Sancti Spiritus Cuba
    When: Nov 4 2010
    Who: with 61 passengers and 7 crew
    Why: The last flight to leave Santiago before the airport closed due to tropical storm Tomas disappeared from radio contact at 5:42 pm while over Guasimal not far from the Zaza Reservoir. The crew made an emergency call at 5:42. 40 cubans were aboard and 28 non-cubans (9 Argentinian, 7 Mexican, 3 Dutch, 1 French, 2 German, 2 Austrian, 1 Italian, 1 Spanish, 1 Venezuelan, and 1 Japanese).

    A hospital worker said “The plane made several abrupt movements before crashing to the ground.” Rescuers hiked in through thick vegetation (using bulldozers to get through the vegetation to find the plane shattered and in flames and no survivors.

    Tropical storm Tomas developed into a hurricane. Cuba declared a state of alert.

    The ongoing investigation has not ruled that weather is the definitive factor because the storm had not reached Cuba at the time of the crash.

    Cuban state airline Cubana de Aviacion owns Aerocaribbean. The flight normally flies twice a week from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to Santiago de Cuba to Havana

    Pilot dies in Atlanta

    What: Piper Saratoga PA-32 registered to Women’s Medicine Incorporated of Jacksonville Beach, Florida (but the plane was recently sold) ) from Craig Airport in Jacksonville, after stopping at DeKalb Peachtree Airport en route to Coldwater, Mich.
    Where: went down in a neighborhood near Interstate 285 just north of Atlanta.
    When: 2 p.m. Tuesday. Sept 23
    Who: The pilot is dead. No one else was injured.
    Why: The plane appeared to clip power lines and trees as it went down.

    Taranaki Crash kills Pilot


    What: crop duster (model not indicated)
    Where: crashed into the hillside on farmland above the Waitara River in a paddock in Tarata, 19km east of Inglewood
    When: noon 14 December 2008
    Who: pilot a man in his 40s died on the scene
    Why: Cause unknown

    BN2 Crashes in Caribbean, Pilot Lost, Passengers Rescued

    What: Divi Divi Air Britten-Norman BN2 A Islander en route from Curacao to Bonaire Netherlands Antilles
    Where: Caribbean
    When: Oct 22nd 2009
    Who: 9 passengers and 1 pilot
    Why: When the plane experienced engine failure, the flight ditched in the Carribean. The pilot, Robert Marcel, was knocked unconscious on impact.

    Passengers were rescued by boat. The unconscious captain could not be freed from his seat harness and the plane sank with him aboard.

    Small Plane Crash Lands in California

    A small plane had to make a crash landing at Mineta San Jose International Airport, San Jose, Santa Clara County, California, on March 24.

    The Plaggio P180 was seen circling over San Jose and Willow Glen, and it was reported that there was a mechanical issue, due to which the crew opted for a crash landing.

    The plane landed uneventfully.

    It turned out that there was a problem with the rear landing gear.

    All people aboard remained unharmed.
