Why: After takeoff from Budapest, the plane developed pressurization issues. The plane returned to Budapest and after circling to burn off fuel to avoid an overweight landing, made a safe landing.

Where: Dane County Regional Airport, Madison

Why: While en route, the plane developed engine trouble.
One of the engines displayed an emergency warning and had to be shut down.
The pilot landed safely in Madison. Passengers disembarked normally.
IndiGo flight 6E 822 made an emergency landing in Bhubaneswar, India, on December 22nd.
The plane heading from Kolkata to Bengaluru, India, was diverted after a 32-year-old male passenger suffered a medical emergency.
The plane landed safely. The patient was rushed to the Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar where the doctors later declared him dead.
United Airlines flight UA-5622 made an emergency landing at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, Illinois, on January 1st.
The plane flying from Aspen, Colorado, was descending toward Chicago when the crew requested assistance due to a gear problem.
The plane performed a low approach for gear inspection and subsequently landed safely.
All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

What: Thomson Airways Boeing 757-200 from London to Paphos Cyprus

Why: On approach to Paphos, the pilot had to shut down an engine. The captain issued a distress signal and landed with one engine, with emergency vehicles on standby.
They made a safe landing. The plane’s return run is postponed until after Inspectors flying in from the UK to inspect the plane.
Delta Airlines flight DL-219 had to return and make an emergency landing in Los Angeles, California, on April 22nd.
The plane took off for Austin, Texas, but had to return shortly afterwards due to problems with cabin pressure.
The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.
The passengers were accommodated in other flights.
An Aeroflot flight had to make an emergency landing in Yerevan, Armenia, at 5:00 am on August 26 due to a drunk Azerbaijani passenger.
The flight was on its way from Dubai to Moscow when a drunk Azerbaijani passenger started speaking loudly, insulting others and bothering the children. According to one of the passengers, “There were lots of children and foreigners. A man at nearly 30-35 years of age started to shout and molested children. The stewardesses failed to cope with him. Then 6 male passengers caught the man and bound him to the seat.”
The plane landed safely. The pilots tried to hand over the man to the Armenian police, but they refused to accept him. The man was finally tamed with sedatives to continue the fight with a 3 hours delay.
The man was eventually detained by the Moscow police.
