Air India flight AI-472 made an emergency landing at Indira Gandhi International airport in Delhi, India, on October 23rd.
Authorities said emergency was declared after one of the tires burst while the taking off from Udaipur, Rajasthan, India.
The plane landed without incident. All 108 passengers and crew members remained safe.
KLM flight KL-691 had to return and make an emergency landing at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Netherlands, on January 27.
The Boeing 747-400, heading towards Toronto, Ontario, had to dump fuel and return after a bird strike.
The plane landed safely.

Air China flight CA-4414 had to return and make an emergency landing in Kunming, China, on February 26th.
The plane took off for Chengdu, China, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew reported unusual noises coming from a cargo hold.

The cargo hold was thoroughly inspected but no indication of any movement or noise was found.
The plane was cleared to depart again.
A plane carrying NASCAR team members had to divert and make an emergency landing at Memphis International Airport, Tennessee, on March 7th.
The Hendrick Motorsports airplane, returning from Las Vegas to North Carolina, was diverted after smoke was detected in cabin.
The plane landed uneventfully. No injuries were reported.

What: Merpati Airlines Fokker 100 en route from Ujung to Kupang Indonesia
Where: Kupang’s El Tari airport
When: 3 DECEMBER 2009 10:15 p.m.
Who: 88 passengers including 5 infants and 6 crew
Why: After developing a technical problem with a landing gear, the plane aborted its approach and maintained a holding pattern as it attempted to extend the main gear. The plane made six passes before finally making a safe landing at El Tari airport.
