A Kuwait Airways Airbus 300, en route to London from Kuwait, made an emergency landing at Brussels airport, Belgium, on July 28.
The pilot decided to make an emergency landing after discovering smoke in the cockpit, according to airport spokeswoman Florence Muls.
The plane landed safely and all 200 passengers aboard remained unhurt.
The aircraft was taken for examination.

What: TAP Air Portugal Airbus A330-200 en route from Lisbon Portugal to Belo Horizonte Brazil

Why: Just after takeoff, the TAP Air Portugal Airbus A330-200 suffered engine trouble. After shutting down an engine, the crew returned to Lisbon where they made a safe landing.
Passengers were provided a replacement flight.
A Germanwings Airbus A320 had to be evacuated at Cologne/Bonn airport in Germany, on April 12.
The airline said Milan-bound flight 4U 826 was taxiing to the runway when the air traffic tower asked the pilot to abort the flight due to a bomb threat.
All 132 people aboard were evacuated safely. The airline confirmed that the plane was thoroughly searched but not explosive device was found.
An alternate aircraft was arranged for the passengers.
What: PAL Airbus A-319 Flight PR-124
Where: Zamboanga
When: Sept 22, 2012
Why: PAL Flight PR-124 was cancelled when engine inspection indicated a bird strike from an earlier flight. The 101 passengers who were scheduled on that flight were transferred to other flights.
The engine damage occurred on PR-123 Manila-Zamboanga which had arrived at 6:18 a.m.

What: Itali Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-82 en route from Milan to Naples

Why: After takeoff, the plane’s engine left a trail of sparks and was vibrating. A quarter of an hour later, the plane returned to the runway for a safe landing in spite of hydraulic damage. The speculation is that ice ingestion caused damage to the engine and hydraulics, but of course that is an open question until after the investigation.
Scandinavian Airlines flight SK-944 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, on April 16th.
The Airbus A340-300 plane heading from Chicago, Illinois, to Copenhagen, Denmark, was diverted due to loss of cabin pressure.
The plane landed uneventfully. There were 196 people aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.
Ural Airlines flight U6-1126 made an emergency landing in Sochi, Russia, on July 2nd.
The Airbus A321-200 plane heading from Bodrum, Turkey, to Kazan, Russia, was diverted after the crew failed to retract the landing gear.
The plane landed safely. All one hundred and ninety-nine passengers and seven crew members remained unharmed.
