    Cessna Street Landing As Electrical Quits


    On Jan 31, 2013, a Cessna R172K was en route from Governor Francisco Gabrielli International Airport (El Plumerillo International Airport, ) in Mendoza Argentina to San Carlos de Bariloche Airport in San Carlos de Bariloche, Río Negro, Argentina when it suffered a loss of electrical power.

    Pilot Rodolfo Smith made a safe emergency landing near Villa La Angostura.

    Pilots made an emergency landing on Route 40 Rincon Chico Zone, The passengers had planned to visit Bariloche and fly on to Chile. Individuals from an Aeroclub and ANAC came to assist.

    Repairs to the electrical system were made and the plane took off to complete its journey. The passengers were en route to a festival in Chile.

    JetBlue Flight Diverts to Philadelphia due to Smoke in Cockpit

    JetBlue flight B6-1097 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on August 29th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane heading from Boston, Massachusetts, to Atlanta, Georgia, was diverted after the crew noticed smoke in the cockpit.

    The plane landed safely. All one hundred and three people aboard remained unharmed.

    Delta Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Buffalo

    Delta Airlines flight DL-878 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Buffalo, New York, on November 5th.

    The Boeing 717-200 plane heading from Hartford, Connecticut, to Minneapolis, Minnesota, was diverted due to loss of cabin pressure.

    The plane landed safely. All ninety-five people aboard remained unharmed.

    Why: While en route, the Interlink flight had a bird strike and had to return to Durban where it made a safe landing. The flight was cancelled.

    Blue Air Flight Returns to Bucharest After Loss of Cabin Pressure

    Blue Air flight 0B-105 had to return and make an emergency landing in Bucharest, Romania, on December 29th.

    The plane took off for Paris Beauvais Tille Airport, France, but had to turn back after it lost cabin pressure.

    The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.

    American Airlines makes Emergency Landing in Miami

    Seatbelt signs were illuminated—a sign in flight that it is safer to be seated and belted in—when an American Airlines 737-800 en route from New York to Miami encountered a passing storm system that caused turbulence severe enough to send 5 passengers and a flight attendant to the hospital. Pilots did not divert, but continued the flight to make a safe landing in Miami. Turbulence occurred forty minutes before landing. One flight attendant suffered a broken nose. 159 passengers were aboard the flight.
