    Eurowings flight EW-20 had to return and make an emergency landing at Cologne Bonn Airport, Germany, on November 20th.

    The Airbus A319-100 plane took off for Berlin Tegel Airport, Germany, but had to return shortly afterwards due to an air conditioning problem.

    Allegiant Air Plane Diverts to Fargo

    AllegiantAn Allegiant Air flight made an emergency landing at Hector International Airport in Fargo, North Dakota, on December 28.

    The plane was en-route from Orlando Sanford International Airport, Florida, to Appleton, Wisconsin, when the crew decided to divert due to a mechanical issue.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All 107 passengers and six crew members remained safe.

    The passengers were accommodated in another flight.

    EgyptAir Express Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Cracked Windshield

    EgyptAir Express flight MS-392 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Luxor, Egypt, on February 17th.

    The plane heading from Aswan to Cairo, Egypt, was diverted after the crew noticed a crack in the windshield.

    The plane landed safely. All 71 people aboard remained unharmed.

    London-Bound Air Canada Flight Diverts to Toronto

    Air CanadaAir Canada flight AC850 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Toronto, Canada, on the morning of December 29.

    The Boeing 767 was diverted after the crew reported an electrical smell on board. The flight was heading from Calgary to London Heathrow Airport, England, at the time.

    The plane landed uneventfully and all 201 passengers remained safe.

    Passengers were later transported to London in another aircraft.

    Delta Flight Diverts to Anchorage Due to Medical Emergency

    DeltaDelta airlines flight 284 had to make an unscheduled landing at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in Anchorage, Alaska, on the morning of March 4.

    According to the airline, the Boeing 777-200LR was diverted “in response to a customer medical situation on board”. The flight was heading from Narita International Airport, Japan, to Los Angeles at the time.

    Delta confirmed in a statement, “The flight landed without incident and paramedics met the aircraft on arrival.”

    The plane later took off again and landed in Los Angeles with a 2-hour delay.

    Pilot Killed after Helicopter Crashes on Denver Glacier, AK

    A helicopter crashed on Denver Glacier in Skagway, Alaska, on May 7th.

    Authorities said the helicopter was returning from TEMSCO’s dog camp on Juneau Icefield when it went down.

    The pilot, who was the only one aboard, was killed in the crash. He was identified as Christopher Maggio, 59.

    The cause of crash is under investigation.
