Blue Air flight 0B-405 was intercepted by two Hungarian fighter jets on May 31st.
The Boeing 737-500 plane heading from Constanta, Romania, to Paris-Beauvais Airport, France, was intercepted after it lost contact with ATC in the Hungarian air space.
The communication was subsequently restored and the plane continued for a safe landing in France.
Ryanair flight FR-8086 had to return and make an emergency landing at Riga International Airport, Riga, Latvia, on October 26.
The Boeing 737-800, en-route to Charleroi, Belgium, had to return due to suspected fuel leakage in one of its engine.
The plane landed safely.
All 176 passengers and 6 crew members aboard remained unhurt.

What: A First Air Boeing 737-200 en route from Norman Wells, to Inuvik

Why: After takeoff, the right engine’s warning light came on. The crew declared an emergency but continued to Inuvik to make a safe landing.
On examination, the overheat detection mechanism was faulty.
All Nippon Airways flight NH-829 made an emergency landing at Narita International Airport, Japan, on August 30th.
The plane took off for Mumbai, India, but had to return shortly afterwards due to vibrations in left engine.
The plane landed uneventfully. There were 68 people aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.
The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

The passengers were accommodated in other flights.

The Boeing 737-900 plane flying from Seattle, Washington, was descending toward Las Vegas when the crew reported smoke in cabin.
The plane continued for a safe landing. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
A medical evacuation jet disappeared west of Dakar, Senegal, on September 5.
The private Senegalair aircraft was en-route from Burkina Faso to Dakar when it disappeared from the radar.
There were 7 people aboard at the time including a French patient, a doctor, 2 nurses and 3 crew members.
The aircraft was chartered by SOS Medicin Senegal.
