    Turkish Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Munich

    Turkish Airlines flight TK-1633 had to make an emergency landing in Munich, Germany, on December 13th.

    The Airbus A321-200 plane flying from Istanbul, Turkey, was descending toward Munich when the crew declared an emergency, reporting hydraulic issues.

    The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.

    JetBlue Plane Diverts to North Carolina after Medical Emergency

    JetBlueA JetBlue plane had to divert and make an emergency landing at Wilmington International Airport, Wilmington, North Carolina, on April 20th.

    The plane heading from New York, to Ford Lauderdale, was diverted to when a passenger onboard suffered some medical issue.

    The plane landed uneventfully.

    The sick passenger died shortly after landing.

    Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in Everglades Holiday Park

    helicopterA helicopter landed in emergency on a levee in Everglades Holiday Park, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on the afternoon of September 13.

    The helicopter was carrying the pilot and a passenger at the time of incident. According to the officials, the pilot decided to make an emergency landing after he lost contact with the control tower.

    The spokesperson for Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue, Mike Jachles, confirmed that none of the 2 persons aboard were injured.

    Allegiant makes Duluth Emergency Landing One Engine Down

    What: Allegient Air McDonnell Douglas jet en route from Duluth to Las Vegas
    Where: Duluth
    When: May 18, 2012, 9 p.m.
    Who: 140 passengers, 5 crew
    Why: While en route about fifteen minutes into the flight, passengers on Allegiant Air Duluth-Las Vegas heard a loud bang. Pilots declared emergency.

    Fifty miles into the flight, pilots shut down the affected engine, and returned to Duluth International Airport. Emergency services including National Guard, firefighters and emergency responders were on stand by.

    Passengers were offered $50 vouchers and the opportunity to stay at the Residence Inn. Passengers were told that the replacement flight departed at 2:30 p.m. Saturday but it did not depart until 3:55 pm. Meanwhile, Allegiant Mechanics removed the ailing engine from the disabled plane.

    American Airlines Plane Suffers Bird Strike Near Miami International Airport

    American Airlines flight AA-1498 suffered a bird strike near Miami International Airport, Florida, on November 14th.

    The Airbus A319-100 plane flying from Mexico City, Mexico, was on approach to Miami Airport when a goose hit it.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    RAK Airways Suffers Engine trouble, Airbus Engine Shut Down

    What: RAK Airways Airbus A320-200 en route from Ras Al Khaimah to Kozhikode
    Where: Ras Al Khaimah
    When: Mar 10th 2012 11.30pm.
    Who: 141 passengers
    Why: While en route, the plane developed problems with an engine and had to shut it down.

    Pilots returned to Ras Al Khaimah where they made a safe landing.

    A replacement jet was provided for the passengers. It left for Calicut 6.40am Saturday.
