What: Ryanair Boeing 737-800 en route from Gothenburg Sweden to London
    Where: Gothenburg
    When: May 8th 2012
    Who: one injury
Why: A flight attended closing the door fell out of the plane.

Presumably wind may have been a factor in the door issue.

The injured attendant was taken to the hospital. A number of passengers deplaned, presumably to keep the Ryanair crew/passenger ratio at least one flight attendant for every 50 passengers.

Turkish Harpist Fatma Ceren Necipoglu Returns Home

Another victim is laid to rest in the ongoing saga of Air France Flight 447. This victim is neither Brazilian nor French. Among those whose remains were recently recovered and identified, Harpist Fatma Ceren Necipoglu was returned to Turkey on November 22, 2011, nearly two and a half years after the June 2009 crash of Air France Flight 447.

When she went to the Rio Harp Festival to perform two recitals, she never expected to be returning as a memory.

After a ceremony at Sisli’s Tesvikiye Mosque, Necipoglu was laid to rest. She was a 1999 graduate of the Department of Harp in Louisiana State University’s School of Music and piano and harp lecturer at the Anadolu University.

What: Air India Airbus A310-300 en route from Mumbai to Delhi
    Where: Mumba
    When: Dec 26th 2009
    Who: not available
Why: When the Air India Airbus encountered a technical problem, the flight returned to make a safe landing in Mumbai.

However, passengers were held inside the plane for three hours; and the replacement flight did not arrive for those passengers for 7 hours.

Those are going to be some unhappy campers. Hopefully Air India will provide them compensation beyond peanuts and drinking water.
