Emirates flight EK-359 made an emergency landing at Cochin International Airport, India, on February 2nd.
The plane heading from Jakarta, Indonesia, to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, was diverted after a passenger suffered a medical emergency.
The plane landed safely. The patient was rushed to a hospital, however, he died on the way.

Why: After leaving Phoenix, the airbus developed a problem with its windshield, and diverted to Albuquerque where it made a safe landing. Passengers debarked safely; and alternative transportation is being found for them.
Alaska Airlines flight 644 had to return and make an emergency landing at Portland International Airport, Oregon, on April 13th.
The plane took off for Phoenix, Arizona, but had to return shortly afterwards after it lost pressurisation.
The plane landed uneventfully. There were 144 passengers and 5 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.
The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.
China Eastern Airlines flight MU587 made an emergency landing at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in Anchorage, Alaska, on March 23rd.
The plane heading from Shanghai, China, to New York, was diverted after an elderly passenger suffered a medical emergency.
The plane dumped 30 tons of fuel before landing safely in Anchorage.
The patient was taken to a hospital.
Skywest flight OO-4906/DL-4906 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Erie International Airport, Erie County, Pennsylvania, on September 21st.
The Canadair CRJ-200 flying on behalf of Delta Airlines was mid-air when the crew reported indication of thrust reversers deployment, causing the diversion.
The plane landed safely.
All 34 passengers and 3 crew members remained safe.
Singapore Airlines flight SQ-336 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Dubai International Airport, UAE, on November 29.
The Airbus A380-800 flying from Singapore to Paris, France, had to divert due to some issue with one of its engines.
The plane landed safely.
No injuries were reported.
S7 Airlines flight S7-3269 made an emergency landing in Blagoveshchensk, Russia, on December 18th.
The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Novosibirsk to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia, was diverted after the crew received low oil pressure indication for one of the engines.
The plane landed safely. All one hundred and fifty-six passengers and six crew members remained unharmed.
